I was lamenting the good old / bad old days some time back and kind of kicking myself for getting rid of my old Tascam Portastudio MKII years back. I have been listening to a bunch of lo-fi musics lately, as well as building quite the analog synth and drum machine arsenal in the studio. It would be a shame to have to dump all that to clean, convenient, cheap digital!

Needless to say, I lusted over a couple compact 4-tracks until stumbling on this one for a deal. I’m planning a couple cassette-only releases in the near future; some lo-fi hipster goodness will be coming your way shortly, and frankly I’m a little excited. This is a Tascam Porta02MKII, and should do the job nicely. I am excite!
